SharePoint list is a flexible storage where you can save and manage practically any data. However, in many scenarios you would want to work with the data: plug it into reports and other documents.
This solution will generate a Word 2007 (97-2003 coming soon) document based on your template and automatically fill out template placeholders with values from your SharePoint list item. It’s like having your report populated with right values on the fly.
Defining your own template is as easy as opening a Word 2007 document with required content and inserting list field names in curly brackets “{”.
If you need more fields to be added to your Word template – just add them to your SharePoint list and the Word template.
